Walking Trail

The old Chandler Railway line used to run through the valley that now forms the 3 campgrounds and part of the golf course here in the Park. The rail bed makes a perfectly flat trail that provides all walkers with an elevated view of all the campgrounds plus a look at how #5, #6, and #7 holes play around a man made lake out on the golf course. The trail is only about 1 kilometer long but it makes for a good walk and is the shortest walking route between the campground and the beach / ball diamond area.

Playground Equipment
parkserv_playground
In 2007 a new, very much needed, playground structure was contructed between campgrounds A and E. It would not have been possible without help from the following:
Midale and Area Trust in recognition of Dr. Mainprize and Ms. Lillian Youngren - funding
R.M. of Cymri - funding
N.A.L. Resources - funding
Brady Oilfield Services L.P. - equipment
Volunteer Labour - Board members, cabin owners and campers
A 4100 sq. ft. area with pea gravel base
Make of structure: Blue Imp
Individual equipment: swings, cloud chaser, spring rides, stone wall, plastic photo
slides, ring around ladder, stepping saucers, rail ride and super hooper
Located on west end of camp "A"
Parking available
Pets not allowed in play area and must be leashed at all times
Short walking distance from store, launch and beach

In 2015 a new playground will be completed by the shower building between campgrounds B and C. All the work and funds for this new playground have come from the full season campers and residents of Mainprize Regional Park.

Potable Water Filtration Plantfiltration

The park operates it's own filtration plant and distribution system. The manager carries a Level 2 Treatment and Level 2 Distribution Certification. Samples are sent weekly to the Provincial Lab for testing and consistent records are kept on chlorine levels, turbidity and maintenance. In 2015 we will be upgrading our filtration plant. We will be doubling our filter capacity, installing a UV system and upgrading the building size. For more information call the manager @ 458-2362.

Sewage Lagoon

In the spring of 2014 we completed a major lagoon upgrade. We went from a single cell to three cell lagoon because of the upgrade. There now is a primary cell, secondary cell and evaporation cell.
